Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

A thoughtful, lovely movie with a great preformance by Carrey.

The best thing about this movie was the conversations I got to have afterwards with the people I saw it with: Would you erase a memory if you could? Are bad memories valuable? How much of memory is feeling? Who owns memory?

The movie is beautifully made, with Carrey turning in the most restrained, and most moving, performance of his career. This movie is well-worth seeing.

The Hot Rock

This caper flick is great fun, but is not as good as the book.

This movie version of Donald Westlake's book by the same title is great fun -- fans of caper movies will enjoy this. It's cool, visually interesting and well put together. However, while it is faithful to the book, it ends before the book ends, and the extra bits the book includes are some of the best in the story. Also, the movie isn't quite as zany or as funny as the novels. Overall, this movie provided for a pleasant evening.
