Nashville (1975)

I kept waiting for something to happen. Nothing ever did.

God of Cookery (1996)

I can't decide which is funnier: the mistakes in the subtitles or the movie itself. This is a spoof of Iron Chef, Chinese commercials, McDonald's, and Hong Kong cinema all rolled into one. It's witty and enjoyable.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico

If you like Johnny Depp, and don't mind stupid action movies, this is a fun flick. I do and I don't, so I enjoyed this!

And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself

A not-so-good movie about a fascinating topic.

Boys Don't Cry (1999)

Heartbreaking. The pain and confusion experienced by every character in this movie is staggering, and the murders at the end are brutal. Swank was amazing.

Barbarella (1968)

Funny in its goofy cheeseyness. From the shag spaceship to the go-go boots, every prop is perfect -- which almost makes up for the horrible performance by Fonda, who sleepwalks through every scene.

Hard Eight (1996)

Paul Thomas Anderson's first effort -- much, much better than either Boogie Nights or Magnolia. It's more coherent and no less edgy.
